Year 6s wowed me with a beautifully made tapestry made from watercolour paintings.
Once a month, I'm really enjoying helping out at Islington Museum at the Bunhill Project: Art and Local History - unearthing local stories and testing out Art techniques. This session was based on the Ironmongers' Baths and Hockney's depiction of water.
Having a great time volunteering with Lisa at the Workshop N4 - making wood paintings to spray painting tote bags with the children!
I've been really looking forward to practising some of the skills/ techniques that I learnt at the Slade Summer School last year. One of my favourite studies was to mix greys from red, yellow and blue.
Had such an inspiring day led by Rod Judkins - a whistle stop tour through a range of drawing activities with exposure to new techniques and media. Highly recommended!
Getting to spend time around a vast array of interesting artworks whilst stewarding. Feels good to see my drawing up there among them!

Was a lovely surprise to see the mural in the junior hall I made with Year 6s has been made into 5 canvases for the infant hall. Their mural was also used as this year's St Michael's Chriztmas card. Feeling proud!
